To the general population, yeah. That statement can be regarded as naive. However, in relation to other drugs in it's class it is less likely to be abused.
There's a reason its a controlled substance, no doubt. But we are speaking in a forum of more educated substance users, and I thought that was understood.
Of all of the amphetamines, including the stuff made in trailer park bathtubs...which are most effectively used in the manner for which they are prescribed, offer the best result vs. side effects, and least likely to be abused?
Adderall would among the stimulants at the top of that list.
Yeah, it's a powerful drug that can be addictive and will be abused, as practically every controlled substance prescribed by doctors today.
