Is there a purpose to having a protein shake before an intense workout with weights? I see some people having a shake before and after a workout. I work out at 7:00AM and am up at 5:30AM. When i get up i have 2 packets of oatmeal and an orange juice and i'm off. Once i'm done my workout then i start to consume my proteins. On off days i consume protein with all my meals including my first of the day. What do you guys think?
