Pure Glutamine

Glutamine works for me. Why would you not want to replace the most abundant, non-essential amino acid in your body? You can't get it anywhere else other than supplementing it. It definately has muscle sparing properties when you're dieting. IMO glutamine is just as important as water.

you can't get it anywhere else than supplementing it eh? Might wanna look that one up more...

Agreed. I think you'll find you CAN get glutamine from other sources.... think about it.

Anyway, I'm doing a course and a guy said something about glutamine working well if it's in a peptide.... or something. As opposed to free-form glutamine. Or maybe the other way around.... maybe you WANT free-form glutamine. I forget.

If anyone can clear this up for me, I'd really appreciate it.

Which form of glutamine works and which doesn't?

What I mean is that you can't get glutamine in mass doses like you can with the powder. I should have clarified that. With a big dose it can almost immediately replace any lost glutamine from intense training.

Glutamine peptides absorb better than l-glutamine; the big question is whether even glutamine peptides absorb enough for them to be beneficial. If you checked out the other post, you'll notice we couldn't find any studies showing real benefit for athletes from using oral glutamine. Ensuring you ingest an amply supply of essential aminos did prove to be beneficial for athletes, however. BTW, glutamine is NOT an essential amino.
