anyone got any ideas of what i can do with canned pumpkin?
Check out SBT's journal, but you can mix it into oatmeal/shredded wheat, add whey to it, add ready-to-drink muscle milk to it, add cottage cheese & nuts to it, use it to make pumpkin pancakes etc. Check out the recipe sticky too.

Just make sure you get the 100% canned pumpkin and NOT the pumpkin pie mix.....

Yeah i got 00% organic pumpkin from Whole Foods i just didnt know if i eat it straight or if there was something i add to it to make it better. Do you happen to know the recipe fro pumpkin pancakes ive seen people mention on here?

I didn't know they made pumpkin pie mix until I tried to find more in Hannaford on Saturday. Checked the ingredients and there is a whole lotta sugar in there - No wonder the pies taste so good,

The first time I bought it was about two weeks ago, I guess. I found a three-pack of the big 32 oz. cans in Sam's Club. I've been added it to shakes and I made those pumpkin pancakes yesterday morning ... :chomp:

Wow - 00%? What is in the ingredients? Air?

;)

All love, baby, all love. While I do not have a recipe .... here is what I would do. some protein powder, some oatmeal, some pumpkin, some egg whites - mix together, make panckaes. COuld even add some cinnamon to the mix.

Haha sorry i meant to type 100% thanks for pointing out my lack for typing skills though :)

Offhand I don't know the recipe....but I can guess one up....

1/4 cup pumpkin
1/4 cup egg whites or about 2-3 egg whites
Some oatmeal (depends on how watery the mix is)
1 packet Splenda
Cinnamon or apple/pumpkin pie spice mix, to taste
1-2 tblsp. Muscle Milk (or skim milk) if you need it
Guess you could also throw some cottage cheese in if you'd like....

Mix & cook like a pancake......

We had our pot luck yesterday - Someone brought in the following dish, which can easily be modified to include pumpkin:

squash and sweet potatoes - pureed w/the following-
splenda brown sugar baking mix
one egg
vanilla
nutmeg
pumpkin pie spice

add in layers of pecans
thinly sliced apples on top

bake and serve. it was so good!
