...just wondering, but would proviron be effective at all if used in conjunction with finasteride? or would it be pointless? does the finasteride block all the dht that reaches your muscles too?

^ bump ^ - I'd like to know this too. I imagine the finasteride counters most of the DHT from proviron but would like to know what the more knowledgeable bro's have to say on this.

I believe finasteride just inhibits the reductase enzyme responsible for converting T to DHT - thus it would not inactivate DHT from Proviron. Although, it certainly seems pointless to take a drug to lower your natural production then take it the hormone as a supplement.

they work together just fine. Proviron will still increase libido and finasteride will still block some of the DHT conversion. it does seem to be somewhat of a "cancel out" situation, but i've actually done them together and got the desired results.

Merck's website claims 1mg of finasteride reduces circulating DHT by 65% within 24 hours of oral dosing. that is both hard to believe and scary at the same time. the good news (or bad) is that it has a very short half life.
