protein to glucose

I was wondering when the body converts protein to glucose. i know if you take in too much protein it converts to glucose at like a 58% efficiency. so whats the secret (if any) to make all that protein go into building muscle and not fat?

thanks

Yes, lift hard and don't overconsume calories.

Sorry, not specific enough?

Protein is glucogenic. That is the sad fact. I am not aware of any drug or supplement that would minimize gluconeogenesis from protein, but even if you did somehow manage, there's a reason that the body converts protein to glucose.

I seem to remember an argument made by someone (possibly animal) that the body was MUCH MUCH more likely to excrete all extra protein than store it as fat due to the complexity of doing so so yeah, honestly just dont consume outrageous amounts (1-1.5g per pound is fine) and it will be okay.
