Protein Shake: Sip or Chug???

Hey fellas-

Just curious, I know your suppost to drink it slower so it absorbs better, but chugging it right out of the blender is the only way i can get that god-forsaken crap down!! (Specially the Strawberry Nirtotech I got now!!)

Does anyone else do the same thing and think you don't get as good results?? Oh and I mix it with creatine, glutamine, dextose and sometimes flax oil... Thanks!

Uh....

What on earth is in your shake?

Mine use orange drink as a carb-rich base. My post-workout shake takes okay.

Morning shake has enough flax seed oil and supplements to give it an off taste. I add 2 packets of Equal to make it sweeter, and I find making it the night before and letting it sit in the fridge improves the taste (not sure how that happens).

I don't chug just because so much gets in the stomach at once and really bloats me. I like to give it some time so I don't swallow air with it.

I was just saying that I am not looking for a way to make it taste better, I was just saying that the only way I can get it down with the way they taste is by chugging it, and I didnt know if that made the absortion not as efficient.....

Shouldn't matter....

I don't know how the method of how fast you consume would matter with liquids. Solids, maybe, but not liquids.

It's just as efficient. Even quick-digesting proteins don't leave your stomach in less than an hour, two tops. Sipping a shake for ten minutes versus chugging it for ten seconds has a negligible impact on absorbtion.

I try to take my time and enjoy, hard sometimes, thick choco shakes are good. Dont use a straw to avoid bloating.
