protein intake....

seems a little high IMO.... up your cals and carbs if your not gaining.... protien should be good round 200-250 especially if your only 165... maybe 300, no more i would think....

yeah the problem is no matter how hard i work out i put on a lot of shitty fat if i consume to many carbs. id like to find a food with lots of cals, moderate carbs and a lot of protein in that i look and feel the best with that. im taking a lot of shakes lately because of the fact that they have a good amount of cals, moderate carbs and high protein.

currently up to 400 grams and weigh around 165 but im on a cycle. is this too much or too little? any opinions?

Too much protein, I've seen folks go into kidney failure on less protein grams to body weight pound ratio. Ask Flex Wheeler about kidney failure and high protein intake, he had one removed for that very reason.

really wow i didn't no that.

DINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!! ease off the pro, you can gain muscle w/1gram/lbbwight, since your on AAS 200 is sufficient id think, might need to go lower though to 165 untill the pain goes away, keep blood work man.. luck...

i keep my protein to about 350 weighing in at about 220. Always keep ur carbs higher than your protein and especially preworkout and immediately after.

yeah im always loading carbs pre-workout, carbs/protein during workout, and ton of carbs post-workout

Actually, your post-workout should consist of 30-50 grams of simple carbs, followed by 40-50 grams of whey mixed with water, glutamine optional..

I do 80g of simple carbs, 40g of protein bc you want the carb to protein ratio to be 2:1 I also add in 5g of glutamine. TO the original poster lower the protein and up your carbs up again.

Just noticed you uped your protien for quicker recovery. Have you ever thought about using a muscle stim unit post work out to speed up recovery?I got one seems to help and was cheap$$$.

I think he means a muscle stim machine that has those sticky pads that stick on your skin over the muscle and it sends electric pulses through it. Too me this seems pretty ridiculous to do after every workout.

Yes I was talking about electric muscle stimulation. It might sound or even be crazy to use after training. But that's probably why top athletes around the world have been doing it for years. You can find alot of info on line just search for it.

I personaly think this is a great idea,,,the machines dont contract the muscle enough to damage it more after the work out but i bet its great for getting the blood moving and taking out the lactic acid...sounds kind of like a hot tub effect....

am i wrong ????? some one tell me if i am lol

Ive had stim done for various muscle related sports injuries. Shit works great. My point was that it would be ridiculous to hook yourself up after every workout. A majority of us dont have time to just hook up to a machine every day haha. But yea it would be a nice idea.

yeah im usually in class-workout-then rush to classes again and shit. after i graduate this year im gonna get way more serious and try things like that. ive heard of bodybuilders getting deep tissue massages to remove lactic acid too.

I blow up pretty easy on too many carbs too. Protein intake will vary depending on bodyweight, and the size of a guy. The big guys will obviously need more protein. Before you go nuts with the protein, why not try adding more EFAs?

yea i eat natural peanut butter, flax and tuna in oil daily. im like this isobolic protein im starting to notice a little difference. but yeah i know guys that take in ridiculous amounts of carbs and stay cut. its all genetics. i was cutting like 6 months ago, taking fat burners, running in the morning on an empty stomach lifting high reps and hardly eating any carbs and i still had shit fat in little places.
