Protein intake question

man1

New member
Hey guys,

A quickie on protein intake.. I'm working on the basis of 1.5 to 2 grams per body-weight.

However, I'm not clear on the following.. for example, if I intake 230 grams of say tuna (as an example), is that the total requirment, or do I go by how much protein is actuall contained in that 230 grams of tuna.. ?? i.e net protein...

Hope that is clear folks... Thaks for your help...

diamonddiceclay,

why do you recommend that much red meat (more than tuna or chicken) ?

the best thing you can do is vary your protein sources as much as possible daily. eat eggs, poultry, red meat, fish etc. never just eat one source of protein all the time.

Don't go by the weight of the food, use the macronutrient breakdown on the label.

Yes, of course
In addition spread your protein intake over different types of meats as well as different types of proteins. as to cover different amino profiles
