Protein intake and growth

Hey all, I've been thinking a lot lately on how my diet looked for the past month or two and I realized that ever since I got home, my protein intake went from around 1g per 1lb. bodyweight (with good gains) to about .25-.5g per 1lb. and I'm as strong as ever, im not gaining as much but I'm still gaining. Does anyone else experience growth on low protein intake?

it was the beginning of summer when my protein intake dropped, i was off gear and my carb intake was never high, maybe 100-200g a day. During the school year, my carbs were around 200-300g and protein around 200g.

nope, im not going to hit geat till i get to school (unlimited food there) in 2-3 weeks. Then comes the fun 16 week cycle, hopefull I can go from 210 to 240

i'm taking in more carbs right now and little protien. At the most i get 1 g/pound. I'm not on right now, but i am growing good and keeping all my gains from my last cycle.. Lots of oatmeal and brown rice. Prot is very overated in my book.

If you always have slow GI carbs in you, your body will always be using carbs for energy. All protien will be used for muscle building at this point. You don't need much for this.

thats what i was thinking, most of my carbs are from complex carbs so they're fueling me for quite a long period of time. I wouldn't say protein is overrated but a large amount is not necessary to keep muscle or even gain muscle.

You just answered your own question bro.
Even a little gear with alot of food will lead to great gains.....alot of gear and little food will lead to money wasted on gear.

Keep those calories high and you'll keep growin.

Thanks guys, I just thought there might be something wrong with me :) . Now if I crank protein to 300g and carbs to 200g through a 16 week test/eq/fina/dbol cycle... that should get some fun results.

Remeber though, the more lean body mass you gain....the more calories you will need to consume in order to gain MORE mass.

Dont think your going to keep the same daily calories throughout the whole 16 week cycle. Just make sure the food intake goes up by the same rate as your weight and strength goes up.

I'm well aware of that, it's only me second cycle so I'm still learning how to tweak my diet, gained 25 lbs of a fina/winny cycle, problem is that 10lbs of it was fat haha.
