Protein Diet????

I am kinda new to the protein dieting thing. So, I have a few questions.

What are some foods that I should eat and some I should stay away from?

Is this the best diet to lose fat with?

I would like several options here so guys don't be shy and let all suggestions fly.
 
heres the deal. eat meat. eggs, steak, chicken, fish, etc.

cut carbs way down.

eat like yams, and shit.

My specs are 5'-7" & 215 lbs. I would like to get down to around 170 or 180.

What do I need to do?

What are are some foods I can eat besides the ones testalot listed here. Can I eat any kind of beans or rice or anything? Please give me some examples of food I can eat.
 
Testalot also said to cut down the carbs........beans and rice are very high carb foods. Your diet 100% depends on what kind of diet you want to go on. Like how strict do you want to be with yourself and do you want to do high protein/no carb/moderate to high fat or high protein/moderate barbs/low-moderate fat.

I am doing about 250 grams of protein a day/20-30g carbs/<100g fat. It is working well for me right now.

Looking at your stats and not knowing how much bf% you are I would go no carbs and moderate to high fat. It seems like you have a lot of fat to burn so this diet you will burn that fat off really fast. Once you get to around 15% BF you will probably have to change things up a little and ad a refeed day or something.

I would just look around on the board for more info. Take a look at Crumcakes diet and see if you an follow it. The cardio is probably important, but I think just the diet/workouts will benefit you greatly.
 
Hmmm, well if you want to lose, then I'd prefer to not play games and just drop carbs altogether. I eat just meat for three days and then a normal day to keep the metabolism working. After a couple weeks on it, the diet won't effect you at all and you'll lose weight like you have a disease. Be sure to eat about 5 or 6 mealks a day and get a vitamin supplement and a calcium supplement to eaat with every meal. Calories first, carbs second, you ALWAYS have to have your calories.
