protein before bedtime is it bad

shit im about to go to sleep and i just ate a 1 cup of cottage cheese, a big apple strudle and a designer whey protein bar choco/peanut butter , that was real good
 
I always take a protein shake (normally 40 grams) or so last thing before going to bed. This is what my trainer has been telling me to do.

Try to make sure that your last protein meal/shake of the day is something that digests slowly (ie- casein), in order to give a prolonged release of AA's into the bloodstream. Whey isn't a good choice for this time.
 
i, religously, will eat 40g protein from real foods before sleep and when i awake in the middle of the night to piss another 30-40g of whey.

RELIGOUSLY!!!
