protein bars for protein?

Guys which protein bars are you currently supplenting with ..when taste really matters!!

I am using power bars but wanted somethign with higher protein content and better taste..any suggestions??

Be careful, alot of bars out there aren't any good. They either have too many carbs, too much sugar, too much fat, too much saturated fat and or not enough protein.

Meal replacement powders are MUCH better, but if you want a bar, nitro-tech, designer whey, pure protein, and solid protein bars are OK. Not good, but better then not eating anything at all. They are expensive as hell though.

I've been a serious fan of Met-RX Protein Plus bars in Bavarian Mint.. until they discontinued them.

Then I switched to Premier Nutrion's Protein Eight bars in Cookies and Cream - spectacular.

Then I realized how much all this supplement crap was costing me, and after I finish my two remaining Protein Eight bars, I'm done with it.

They taste so good, but I can hardly afford $120+ every 6 weeks for just supplements!

I wouldn't waste your money on protein bars...the protein in them is not really good. But a few brands are coming out with some good ones, like Biotest.

Optimum Nutrition ...

As long as you are not dieting... I would (and do) go with the optimum nutrition bars. Stats read: 20g protein, 40g carbs, kind of high in sat fat at 4g, but they taste very good. Peanut butter and coconut bars seem to taste the best. Just a thought.

Designer Protein or Carb Solutions are about the best tasting bars IMO. Designer is better as far nutritional profile. Carb Solutions is a little low on the protein side (24g average).
