Prostate-Saw Palmetto and PSA

I have recently read where Saw Palmetto interferes with the PSA test--may give a false negative on the PSA test-anyone heard of this?

PSA is a test to determine the amt of Prostate Specific Antigen in your blood. Saw Palmetto is supposed to block DHT I think??? Or maybe it blocks the conversion of test to DHT?? In any event it may give you a false value on the test. Below 4 is ok, the lower the better. Above 4, and they need to take further invasive action ....US, biopsy, chemo, radiation, hospice, death

Lycopene will lower your PSA. A small amount of Lycopene is in Life Extension Mix. You can also buy lycopene separately.

Finasteride will block the production of 5-ar II, which is found mainly in the scalp and prostate.

I take all of these things daily.
