proscar/propecia and the prostate

i need some intelligent answers here boys, just got a prescription for propecia
questoin #1 - are proscar and propecia the same thing

#2 - if i am taking propecia while on crank should i take more than the recomended daily dosage

#3 - if i start my propecia and juice at the same time, will the propecia work right away in regards to protecting my prostate or do i have to wait the 1-2 months or whatever it is for it to kick in?(the propecia)

proscar is 5mg propecia. needs to be split in 4's and taken EOD. yes you need to start a month or two in advance. the other stuff i am not sure.
