Proscar hinder steroid gains?

I just got some proscar(finasteride) for my dr. It say on the presription "This medicine is an androgen hormone inhibitor used in men to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia". I just started a cycle of sustanon,prop, and enanthate. Is this going to affect the effectiveness of the steroids?? Any help would be apprecaited.

I beleive it does inhibit the conversion of test into dht which is what causes mpb, but it also happens to be very anabolic too. I wonder if it just blocks the conversion in the scalp and prostate, or in the rest of the body as well. probably the latter.

Yes Proscar will inhibit approximately 65% of all DHT in the body...although a new drug called Dutasteride is in the works which inhibits 95% of all DHT, but it wont be available until 2002.

However, the Proscar will inhibit DHT in the scalp, prostate and the rest of the body too. I know this because I used it for 9 months....and then discontinued use and all of a sudden i started to grow more body hair (DHT is what also causes more body hair to grow) To me it didn't hinder my gains at all...I used 500mg Sustanon and 15mg per day of Dbol.....didnt lose hair and grew like crazy.
