I know from experience (unfortunately) that heat will not kill staph spores. Splurge eight bucks for a couple of 0.2 micron filters from getpinz.com. They have 50 mL sterile vials too. They had my order to my door in 2 days flat! 0.2 micron is small enough to get rid of even spores. Tip: Warm the oil to make it thinner before filtering.
Yes, I think you can use sesame oil to dilute the test prop. It depends a bit on what the conc. is to start and what it is dissolved in already but assuming the normal mix of oil, BB, and/or BA, dilution shouldn't be a problem.
I just filtered my 100 mg/mL test prop (14% BB, 1% BA, in sesame oil) last night. It is slow going and hard on the hands but worth it. I could do about 2 mL per minute.
