Proof that money is king

We're having some "killer" snow storms in western Mi right now; which is cool because I love a good storm. But what's not cool and throws all rationality out the window is when every fucking thing under the clouds is canceled......except work. Yeah that's right, we can all expect to go to work tomorrow/Monday short of a nuclear war or completely immobile conditions. Why? Because of the almighty dollar. Nothing is more important, seeing as how we cancel a plethora of civil events not to mention schools when the first sign of a storm comes along, but yet in those very same conditions and worse think nothing of calling off the trudging of the masses out to their jobs, which normally happen to be at the heaviest traffic times of the day, screaming for accidents to be had.

But hell we gotta keep the economy going. It's practically what we live for.
Just an observation.

Fuck it. I'm gonna drive somewhere, anywhere today just for the hell of it. At least it'll be for fun.

It's cuz we are the best right?
I'm just hinting that sooner or later we're gonna become the beast that can't be fed; if it hasn't happened already.
I don't have a problem with going to work in a snow storm but I do when authority advises not to leave the house for practically anything else short of an emergency. It's the principle, and here it simply doesn't make any bloody sense.
There should be a level playing field across the board.
