Prolactin levels, please help.

I dont know exactly what it is, but it seems to cause gyno and low sex drive. I have had a low sex drive for about a year and a half, and my test levels are normal, i got them checked this summer. Also, after doing 2 weeks of var and coming off, i started to get symtoms of gyno. Right now i am taking Nolva to combat those symptomes.

What could raise your prolactin levels, and what could be used to lower them?

Can someone explain what prolactin is, or post a link of a good article.

I am no expert but will give some comments on what I believe to be true.

Have you used Deca or fina?
Both are thought to increase prolactin.

In general, estrogen can increase prolactin release while androgens will cause a decrease in prolactin release.

Is your T/E ratio out of wack? Even if your T levels are good, if your E levels are really high then this could cause problems.

To lower prolactin you could use bromo or dostinex.

Im going to call my doc. tommorow to see what my levels were at. Im also ordering up some dostinex. Does anyone know if dostinex has any bad sides or problems with discontinueing use. Where is a good place to order from also.
