prolab Nlarge users or FOrmer users!

Yeah so i bought this prolab Nlarge, since i've had some pretty good products buy them before their creatine gluteamine, so i thought i would try their Nlarge.
I've actually gained weight already like 6 lbs, but i was just wondering if its mostly water weight.

WHAT DO YOU GUY THINK ABOUT NLARGE?

I'm also trying out their whey protein, its a little damn sweet for a protein shake, my teeth feel like their rotting on contact with that shit, but hopefully it does the job.
 
I've used N-Large 2, I like it, probably one of my favorite weigh gainer powders, It's got alot of good protein and its not weighed down with tons of sugar, which is good, and it doesn't come out thick and nasty when you mix it, also good, I tried GNC super weightgainer 1800, the stuff was almost the conistency of maple syrup. yuk.
 
Its pretty hard to force down 4 scoops of that shit but a pretty good value nonetheless. I simply cut the serving size in half. Maybe ginger root would help digestion. 6lbs seems like a lot of weightgain. What else are you supplementing?
 
I use Nlarge. I too drop the serving size to 3 scoops instead of 4. I also mix with milk. I like it but only use it in the am. and before bedtime. I use pure whey optimum post workout. That combo seems to be working great for me.

Dont forget, Nlarge is a high carb protien. Some can get fat off it so beware.

N'large rules! I gain some massive weight on that stuff. Try ginger root when you drink that! It helps so much! No gas, no bloat feeling and I read it helps aid digestion. And from what I see it does.


2 scoops with 7 oz of 2% milk 2x a day is what I take.


CAn't stand it with water.....yuck!
 
morning - I'm also supplementing with prolabs whey isolate, creatine, and glutamine as well as multi's, glucosamine, and ginkgo. See i know thats alot of weight to gain thats why i was asking.
I was thinking all my gains were water weight, but I dont see sodium in the ingredients, so i was just wondering if this was some sort of miracle protein.

My day looks like this.
Mourning 4 scoops Nlarge w/ skim milk and creatine [choke it down)
post work out whey 70-80 g's
and before i go to sleep 4 more scoops of Nlarge with glutamine.
I like the Nlarge because it has maltodextrin ./.spelling
I know thats like a slow digesting carb, but does it also aid in slow digesting protein?
Because I was thinking about getting a casein based protein, but If maltodextrin has the same effects with protein as it does with carbs I think i will just stick with Nlarge, because of the price.
 
Well, did you start supplimenting with creatine the same time you started Nlarge? I wouldn't think Nlarge would have given you water weight. It either built muscle or built fat. I dont know about water. I wouldn't think so. But I really like the Nlarge and i've noticed being held much longer through the night with even 3 scoops with 2% milk. Like you mentioned the maltodextrin. Maybe thats why.

I've been using creatine for a while, longer than the Nlarge.
Hmm maybe this stuff is really working, I dont see any extra fat anywhere, hopefully its muscle..

a serving is 4 scoops. so its 52gms per serving. 86grms of carbs per serving. So far this has been the only protein weight gainer to smooth me out. all other shit, I stay under 5% bf no matter what i do.

well since i gain fat pretty easily i have decided not to take prolab before i go to sleep...too many carbs...so i just bought a ton of egg whites, i'll have those before i got to sleep.
 
Nlarge is cool......that and massive whey gainer are the only one i use. I believe it is very similiar to Nlarge 600 cals....44 pr though98 carbs....I like more carbs for bulking i get enough protein from everywhere else...especially at 5000 cals haha. Yeah creatine will give you 6 lbs in a week to 2 weeks, but Nlarge i dont know unless your on a stack (PH even) thats what i gained my first week. Or it could be glycogen...I've deflated since haha, bu ti still managed to stay at 240 from 242 ( but im 6'6). Stick with it for a while i now make my own formula using suppliment direct and there tubs oh carbs. 8lbs of malto, 1 scoop dext, and 42 grams protein and sometimes i throw in some Kool aid mix or drink mix for a new flavor. Its cheaper but doesnt taste as good haha, but it works that same for us poor folk around the holiday season

What is this suppliment direct. All this protein I'm buying every month, not to mention glutamine, multi's creatine, and food, is making me grow but its shrinking my wallet.
Where do you get this from?website.
I'd gladly sacrafice taste for Money, which would = more protein in the long run.

Since Nlarge2 has lots of carbs, good protein with high aminos, etc., would it work well as a strictly-post WO shake, and not just as a high-calorie MRP?

I'm considering buying a 10lb bucket and dumping in even more BCAA powders, and using it for that. If I do this, what flavor is the best?

It's been mentioned several times in the forum before, acc. to a forum search, but I haven't been able to find actual results mentioned--just approving comments about its possible use as a PWO shake.

So suppose I try it this Spring...What flavor is best?
 
I use 1 scoop of it for PWO, with some whey and low carb, just cause the protein is higher...
I just doing this today, i'll let you know how it turns out.
I think there are only two flavours, chocolate and vanilla.
I've only tried the chocolate, its not that bad, its kinda thick though, when i say kinda thick i mean really thick, i could add more milk, but then it clumps. Something is wrong with the Nlarge i have right now, the first one i bought never clumped, but this one clumps like a mofo, and sticks to the side of my blender.

But the taste isnt all that bad.
 
well as far as a post workout drink ....id acutally use one 2 hrs before and one an hour after..... def just straight way and sugar post....your body will process the isolate better or concetrate and sugar will go to restoring muscle glycogen. I did this in my mass cycle with mag -10 and i think iworked extremely well. It really what your body needs ...high quality whey and complex carbs(fructose as sugar goes more to restoring liver glycogen) So not too much fat storage should come of it. The body handles carbs completely different when you work out then when latent.
 
I went through 30lbs of that stuff in a little over 2 months. Loved it. But I'll never use it again or any whey protein for that matter. It makes me get back-ne like a champ. I get more out of 4 cheeseburgers and 6 piece chicken nugget anyways even though that's not the healthiest meal. :wink:
