Priority Mail -- Tracking Q

Suspension

New member
Hey bro's.

Monday afternoon, I sent out a package via priority mail. I got delivery confirmation. Well, today, I checked to see if the package was sent and it said something like, "no record of this item"

Shouldn't it be in the system by now? Did those idiots at the post office forget to track it? Has this happened to anyone?

Im asking cause I sent a lot of $$$ in that package.

i have had the same problem at times. sometimes my source gets the package before it even posts on the web site. call the 1800 number and see if it is there. the website sometimes dont get updated but every other day.

no problem. ask your source to drop you a line when he gets your package. mine sends me confirmation when he picks up and sends..

hey bro, you will always have some worry even if you elt with yur source 1000 times, it is part of nature. your dealing with someone you have never met and prob will never meet and your going from what other bros tell you . that is why it is important to always check out your sources with a couple of different people and check refs as well. you have been around awhile so you already know this, but some of what i say is for the new bros out there that need the extra knowledge.

Good info-

Im not really worried about my source.
Im worried about those postal employees.
I wonder how easy it is for them to 'lose' a package without anyone knowing.
I guess the tracking system must be slow, but if my source doesnt receive that package, its going to be hell to pay for that employee!

ive seen this alot. sometimes it says that a package hasnt been delivered, months after it has been. i wouldnt worry.

Weird thing is:

Usually costs 3.90 to send out a package with confirmation. Well this guy charged me 3.50

I saw him put on the confirmation sticker, but I dont remember if he scanned it or not.

my source used delivery confirmation as well, tracking is not a feature of delivery confirmation. but i would be worried if i was in your same position as well. If you see your postman jacked as all hell then you'll know what happend to your gear. lol :D

This is what I just learned from my local post master. Recently I ordered some fina and had a tracking #. This is the 2nd time I ordered it. The first time I got 2 different tracking messages for the order: 1) your package has been delivered to ___ location at 8:55 am. 2) your package was received at 10:00 am at same location.
Well this time I kept tracking my package and kept getting the following message even on the day of delivery: there is no record of this shipment.
I knew that my package had to come that day due to the shipping that I chose. So thinking that I might have got scammed I went to the post office at 9:00 am and the post master just happened to be checking in my package. I asked him why did I keep getting the no record of shipment message if my package did arrive? He said that when he gets the packages he scans them which would bring up the first message. Then when the package is picked up by the receiver he scans it again which then puts up the 2nd message. He said that unless it is coming from overseas then you should only get these 2 kinds of messages. The reason I got the 2nd message on my first order is because my wife picked up the mail on her way to work which I did not know about till later that day. When I read the 2nd message I went to the post office but the dumb bitch there just told me that they didn't have it, she didn't tell me that it had already been picked up. So I was freakin for most of that day. Now I don't worry about what my tracking messages say cause usually they aren't that accurate.
