Joe Rogan, he seems to wanna promote MMA so that it goes mainstream. Im sorry Joe, but the shit is way too fucking violent to go mainstream. I really love MMA but the shit wouldnt last very long on regular cable. Im a huge fan of MMA, and im sure there are lots more, but it aint happening.

They play UFC on a local Sunshine Network. I think it's a local florida channel though. We actually watched one last night or the night before last

I get that channel on my sattelite. But its doubtful it will ever make it to ESPN.

MMA is my favorite form of combat. You would think if ESPN or ESPN2 can show some third-world kids fighting Mu Tai from Tailand then they could show MMA.

No way. It’s basically a new sport that has gotten popular very fast! They started off having a ufc every 6-8 months or so and now every other month there is a pride or ufc.

Submission wrestling is everywhere now and The Ohio fighting alliance has fights around here all the time. It’s a fact that it’s much safer than boxing also. Hell I think it’s the best sport in the world. I don’t even watch football anymore. I don’t care about any sports other than MMA. Well I do a little power lifting here and there but the explosion can help in fights.

I think it will be more popular than boxing within 10 years.

there is a really good promotion based in indiana and florida respectively called hook and shoot... i went to a local show here and they had a booth with dvd's... i was impressed... you rarely see knee bar submissions... these huys were skilled and i hadn't heard of maybe 3 guys on the 4 dvd's i bought.
