It just reminds me of when I was with Motorola... we would go to campuses like Dekalb or DeVry to conduct seminars and "recruitment" booths, etc...... 99% of the people there has PellGrants...
Once I came out of there about 630PM from Dekalb's HR department. The Main Office and Student Services were in another building. It had closed at 6PM. I was standing in front of the building make a cell phone call when this 84-84 Toyota Tercel (this was in 99) screeched to a halt and 32 gold teef asked me "yo mannnn, where can I find da Office at. Cause I am suppose to come out to gets my money. S'pose be getting paid on da one. " I was like "what the fuck you talking about" Poor guy had some girl sitting beside him that you just KNEW she was only there caused she smelled some money coming... he was like "see mannnnnn, I feel out dis grant to come here fo school and when da money ain't spent, they like give me da rest. said I's could come up in here and pick it up todays so I dont be waiting fo the postal service to come. did that lasts year and it took a weeeeek to reachs me. But theys sez come on in da Student Liiiife offize and all I's gots to be doing is just signing fo the money."
I was like "dude, you got a check LAST semester, and getting one THIS semester and you NEVER EVEN CAME TO SCHOOL? Else you would know where the Student Life Office is."
I couldn't believe it. The dude actually signed up for college, got a grant, enrolled in some classes and then never attended the classes, but was still clocking a check each semester for about $2400.
