Question is, if your girl is pregnant, is it bad for you to take steroids? Could be a simple answer, just want to be safe!

dont use finasteride IF YOU USE THAT DO NOT GET IT BY HER....
anythign else just wash your hands after touching pills etc...i was paranoid while mine was pregnant and i wouldnt have sex with her without a condom...didnt want to risk anything happening..sure that was overboard but still wanted to be safe

Some chemicals are secreted in the semen, but I doubt it very much if that is the case with AAS.
Most dangerous time is the first 4 weeks of pregnancy.
After first trimester, I doubt it very much if AAS use by man would have any effect on baby.

ask your doc, they are professionals and know the most about it. but like hayez said, dont let her get anywhere near finasteride! i know that much. the last thing you want is a deformed/retarded kid just cuz u wanted to gain a few lbs!

Question was about the father, and not the mother.
The mother should stay away from pretty much every thing. And she should especially not even come close to anything to do with anabolics.

There are 4 categories of substances:

Category A: Drug have gone through studies on humans and there are no known effects on human baby. There is no medicine in this category except may be Tylenol.

Category B: Animal studies have shown no effects on animal babies, but no human studies have been conducted: Pretty much all the medicines that women can take during pregnancy are included in this category.

Category C: No animal studies have been conducted, but there are no known cases of birth defects. These medicines should not be used unless absolutely necessary.

Category D: Known cases of birth defects, MUST NOT be used in pregnant women. Acutane probably tops this list, with 100% risk of birth defects. Most anabolics and related products will also fall in this category.

Internet would be good to search anything about birth defects. Doctors know off hand about common substances but not every substance and they would also have to look it up. No doctor can, for sure, answer the question about use of anabolics by man because there is very little data available on this issue.

The finasteride thing got blown out of proportion...EXCEPT the touching of the pills...that is accurate. They both said no real concern, but I could stop for a little while due to its half life.

This seems to be a good portion of an article from some MD on the net:
So if the woman were not exposed by powder the other way is via semen. This, too, has understandably been well studied. Again found in the PDR are the following studies: “Semen levels have been measured in 35 men taking finasteride 1 mg/day for 6 weeks. In 60% (21 of 35) of the samples, finasteride levels were undetectable (<0.2 ng/mL). The mean finasteride level was 0.26 ng/mL and the highest level measured was 1.52 ng/mL. Using the highest semen level measured and assuming 100% absorption from a 5-mL ejaculate per day, human exposure through vaginal absorption would be up to 7.6 ng per day, which is 750 times lower than the exposure from the no-effect dose for developmental abnormalities in Rhesus monkeys and 650-fold less than the dose of finasteride (5 mug) that had no effect on circulating DHT levels in men.”

i think i would owe it to my child by not useing it or havign it around my wife during pregnancy..knowing soemthing will make your child have birth defects and still useing it is pretty bad judgement...might as well just give your wife shots and lines of coke to do
