Any advice X?

From my own personal experience, pre workout and post should be the one time you shouldn't limit the carbs so much, even while on a strict diet. At the very least have a small bowl of plain regular (not packet sugar crap) oatmeal with some egg whites.

It would be more helpful to have your stats, goals, and any 'supplements' etc you may be currently on. :)

When is your workout? AM or PM? I find it easier to workout in the morning. Burn all of your fat on an empty stomach. Then, you can concentrate on your diet the rest of the day.

2 scoops protein
2 tbsp powdered gatarade 1/hr pre

2 scoops protein
1 scoop gatorade 30 min post

muscles will utilize the glycogen spike your insulin and have quick absorption of the protein.
try it you might be surprised + it will allow you to increase your workout intensity.

no, just my norm for a pre and post workout. seems to work pretty well for absorption of protein. seems to work even better since i started on my gear. try it sometime you may like it.

He's not saying it isn't a good shake just not for a ketogenic diet.

Preworkout: Power bar & banana or protein shake & banana app. 30 min before workout.
Postworkout: Protein shake and 1 scoop of gatorade immediately after workout (I don't mix them together, tastes like sh!t)....full breakfast 1 hour after finishing protein shake and gatorade.

I'm up at 5:30 am and begin working out at 6:00am sharp. Weight lifting and plyos end around 8:30am, give or take up to 30 min.

Protein (Chicken breast, turkey burger, non-fat cottage cheese, whey) + low glycemic carb (oats, wheat bread, lentils)... about 1-2 hours before training (you want a slow-burning carb to avoid insulin spikes and energy crashes during your workout)... creatine + gatorade about 30-45 mins before workout

????

In a nut shell MCT (Medium-Chain Triglycerides) are 8-carbon length caprylic acid and 10-carbon length capric acid. It should be consumed at around a ratio of 67% 8-carbon and 33% 10-carbon. Almost all MCT that you consume will be used quickly for energy. It works like carbs but its actually fat. Hence it would be great for pre-workout meals while on a ketogenic diet. I don't know why I didn't think of it.

As always thanks for the suggestion X. :drink2:

one word of caution, it should not be used by anyone with high cholesterol, diabetes, or gastrointestinal problems

Very good point guy! I didn't even think to mention it.

1/2 C. oatmeal, 40 grams of whey, 1/2 T. Flax Oil

Flax oil before a workout? Fat consumption will slow food absorption, and before a workout, you want all of that food to go right to the muscles for energy without slowing down. You're golden with the oatmeal and whey though!
