Pre-bedtime meal

I'm trying to lean up for some period of time, and I was wondering if I should forego the pre-bedtime meal? If not, what is the best thing to eat--some drink whey, but I think that metabolizes too fast.

Background: 6'2", 212lbs, ~10%bf. Currently consuming ~3000 cal/day plus cardio to get cut up.

Casein Shake/veggies
 
protiens and fats
whey is ok but its absorbed fast adding fat slows digestion of the protien
micellar casien is a good choice ,it absorbs slower than the whey
i always eat something before bed wether iam cutting or not .i would not recomend alot of carbs in your pre betime meal just protien and some good fat
 
I have a little ice cream blended in with 1 cup of cottage cheese and maybe a scoop of whey. gets casein protein and fats. tasty too.
 
ou 10% and 212 bro.......eat up! Eat before bed..cc, peanuts and a shake........it's more/less my dinner though.......my 6 meal (4th not counting shakes)

Yeah, some casein and/or low-fat cottage cheese is a good idea. If you're cutting dairy out of your diet then maybe a chicken breast or some tuna would be ideal.

You can also do some EFAs, but if you are that paranoid then have them earlier in the day and just go with the casein.
 
I have a tablespoon of flax oil and 50g of a blend of whey and casein. Works pretty well for me whether I'm cutting or bulking.
 
Why doesn't anyone ever mention eggs?---Lately I have been having 4 whole eggs and two whites before I go to bed and I am seeing really good results--
 
30 peanuts in the shell (60 total)
250g dry curd cc
HUGE casein shake

prob. about 20g of fat
55g of protein
15g carbs.......last meal of the day, 1st PW so it's gotta be high in volume.....1lb of week thus far, abs still sharp (except at night, lol.......damn it)

there are ways to make him happy again!! w00t!

and peanuts and caseine are awesome, I drink muscle milk and eat dry unsalted peanuts, from 2-3 servings..

yeah, 18 grams from the mm, but it tastes so good, so it helps me not cheat, and I need the calories, I am trying to bulk and only seeing mediocre results.
