Sorry this is pretty long, just skip to the bits in bold if you want.
I'm 25, male, been strength training for the last year (more of a powerlifting than a BB program) and made some very respectable gains in that time. Gaining muscle is no problem, I know how to eat and train hard. I'm a little over 100KGs at the moment don't feel like I need steroid help or anything yet to keep seeing growth and strength gains.
The only problem, however, which has brought me here, is bodyfat.
Not quite regular bodyfat but something sort of like gyno in appearance, along with a really unfortunate distribution of fat around the midsection (belly and hips), upper legs and also glutes. My skin doesn't seem to sort itself out in these areas at all and I guess due to lack of elasticity in the skin and the depositing of fat there I've got stretch marks and the skin just generally does not look smooth. There's the appearance of what I guess you'd have to call "cellulite" around the glutes and legs too.
To describe it simply, when you go below the neck or above the knees, my body just has the look of being soft, not really lean at all.
Oh, and I had all this way before I started lifting. Had it all since I was 16 or 17 probably and nothing has really changed it. It's been a pretty discouraging 8-9 years, in that sense.
I have stuck to some informed, strict calorie-restricted (and also carb-restricted) diets for many weeks while continuing to train but whatever type of fat tissue is going on toward the waist area and around the pecs just doesn't seem to budge. While at the same time I visibly cut fat from my limbs; arms and calves getting much more lean looking. The other problem with the calorie restricted diets has been the inevitable, if only gradual (depending on how clever/strict you keep about it) loss of strength on the cut. I can't abide losing the strength I worked and ate long and hard to build.
So I'm looking to find out - what can you guys reccommend that could help me cut this sort of problem with fat tissue while keeping all my strength?
I guess I'm wondering if the cause is in some way hormonal but I really don't know.
From what I know of GH it sounds pretty promising, particularly what I've seen about improving skin thickness / smoothness - if it does in fact do that.
If you could steer me in a suitable direction I can at least begin to check out further info. etc on one particular solution.
I'd like to avoid anything that would involve a whole bunch of PCT or basically anything that might risk even more gyno-like fat storage.
And like I said, I'm not exactly looking for help bulking up - I got that covered by myself - just something that would let me keep as much current strength as possible while cutting fat.
I do cardio already, in case that needs to be suggested.
Thanks a lot
