There are widespread power outages through out LA at the moment.

My bro called to tell me that there was no power at home, my other bro had called him to tell him there is no power at his wrok and some one else had called to tell him there was no power futher down the city. I still have power here at work. I just turned on the radio and they are reporting city wide outages, the reason unknown. People are reportedly running out of high rise buildings fearing that it is related to the terrorist threats made yesterday.

that's bizzare. We have rolling blackouts here.. they give you like half an hour notice.. they do it so we don't lose power to critical areas like hospitals.

LA is a huge city and it could be a supply issue.

It took me quicker to get home (West LA) from Hollywood Hills then it usually would, due to the outages. Of course, I almost got hit about 4 times.

Im watching Wolf Blitzer cover this on CNN now, hoping that he will refer to us caught around this area as "so poor, and so black."

there are refineries along the harbor here. My brother said that when power was gone for whatever reason they had to burn off excess oil or release all fumes or something. Anyways it looked like they were all on fire which further frightened people. Everyone in the area was sure it had been a terrorist attack.
