postworkout nutrition

ok correct me if im wrong..
what i am wondering is when you lift you have to take in around 75 grams simple carbs to replenish your glycogen stores and rebuild muscle postworkout, however when you run and htis is an aerobic actvity, as lifting is anaerobic, do u still need the same amount of carbs?

Actually it really depends on your goals.. If trying to cut it may not be a good ideal because of the insulin spike. If trying to maintain or bulking you'll want the carbs because your body will go into catabolic state, and if you don't take carbs in it may result in muscle loss. Personally, I just go with just protein and no carbs after cardio because I'm cutting. If I was bulking however I'd take it because muscle loss is the last thing I want.

When cutting I wait 1 hour to eat after cardio to burn some extra fat for energy needs, then I try to eat a low carb/higher protein & fat meal. The goal is to avoid an insulin spike when cutting. We know the evils of cortisol in BB however that's the same hormone responsible for fat loss too... For better or worse you need to induce a catabolic state to burn fat. To help minimize muscle loss supplement with aminos, especially glutamine and BCAA's.

after cardio

i eat a lo-gi carb about 21g carbs and high protein - no fat. after that i will have no carbs for the rest of the day - except for green veg
