I am cutting now and I was wondering how much whey proteine and dextrose do you drink after a workout?
Percentagewise, how much dextrose do you add?
 
I have a regular shake, roughly 45 gr of protein. I used honey instead of dextrose, about 1-2 tbsp. I assume the dextrose amount would be comparable to that.

I try to have about 60g of maltodextrin and 40g of whey. If I have some vanadyl sulfate and chromium laying around, I will take a megadose of that shit, even though the VS gives me a minor headache (it really works for me, though).

I have a meal within 90 minutes, usually.

The amounts depend on your body weight. I weigh about 155.

Maltodextrin seems to spike my insulin more effectively than anything else. I have not tried dextrose, however.
 
I have a shake with 60% malto, 40% protein and 0% fat
Im buying all my supplements from protein factory although I really like Nature Best MRP it has 300cal 0%fat 50grams protein and 25gr carbs
When Im in Europe, where my family lives I use to drink Carbo Power made my Nature Best Europe or even better "Alpen Cereal no suggar added" with 1 scoop of vanilla whey with some milk! uhmm I cant wait to go back home :)
 
im cutting, i get 110 carbs a day, and 75 of that comes from dextrose postworkout, i also have 50 grams whey post workout.

gymtime, i c u said u ate honey, i used to think this was a good source postworkout though isnt it majority fructose, and doesnt that refill liver glycogen not muscle glycogen?

I'm not real sure on this one guys. I went with the honey just because it was recommended as an alternative to dextrose, which I'm sure is a lot better. However, it is also more expensive.

110 - You might be right on that. Until now, I didn't know there was a difference between liver and muscle glycogen stores. I just figured I'd go with what I had since honey's a little more available than dextrose is. Might have to rethink that after this thread though.
 
What do you guys think about gatorade and whey protein?
Does gatorade have a hig GI?
