Post cycle depression

I finished a 6 month cycle two weeks ago. I feel I need to give my body some time out but the temptation to jump right back on AAS is SO strong.

I haven't lost much muscle, largely just water weight, but I feel so flat looking. I think I have the classic signs of psychological steroid dependence. Practically everyday I come very close to restarting a cycle of oxandrolone and primo because I figure I can get the full looking muscualrity again and start growing a little but still allow my HPTA to return. Should I do this?

I am quite focussed on weight training so when I don't feel like I am moving forward it just depresses me generally and affects other parts of my life. Do I need to see a shrink or is this normal?

p.s. Maybe I should buy some of chinaman's prozac :)
 
There sure is a lot of talk about depression and anxiety lately. Maybe it has to do with setting the clocks back an hour. I remember hearing that this can cause depression. Who knows though.

despite what many on this board say.. Primo and OX do exert AN effect on the HPTA.

Your cycle was 6 months ago? That is ages ago. Why not do another cycle? And if you are weak enough to let yourself get addicted to roids - then you shouldn't be using them!

You should definately take a break after a six month cycle...
I'm surprised that Gary didn't recommend you taking inositol (5 to 10 grams) to help with your depression...
 
I am feeling much happier today. I did a search and discovered that low levels of test and clomid often cause depression. I actually feel better simply because I know why I am depressed and can remind myself that it is just the drugs talking.

I think I haven't had enough to focus on. I have been busying myself and staying away from the gym. I am then not so muscle focused.
 
Try some anavar 20-25 mg or so have been proven in studies not to impair natural testosterone production. (or probably very little allowing hpta to recover).

ZMA (tribulus etc..)
Creatine
(all after the clomid)

This should give you every oportunity possible to keep your gains and even grow more.
 
Post-cycle depression is different for everyone. Usually if clomid therapy is done the right way then you shouldn't be concerned. Also I realized that sometimes this was caused more by the fact you hear and read about depression and this makes you depress more than you should. When post-cycle. do anything you can; go out, do sports being busy is the key this way you wont let time to your brain to think about your post-cycle situation. Just my 0.02
