Policosinol and cramping problems

Following the advice of Fonz, I Have been giving policosanol a try for about 3-4 weeks now.

I have noticed that a dosage of 15mg daily, that it was giving me some cramping in my lower back. I wanted tu up the dosage , but I dont want to make the cramping unbareable.

The cramping is kind of low grade and not very painfull, but very fucking irritating !!

Has anyone else experienced this with policosanol?

cramping?? Im taking 40 mg a day of the stuff and dont see any cramping or anything like that.

you guys better keep an eye on your total cholesterol because, believe it or not, too little cholesterol can be very dangerous. if you don't have a high total cholesterol number you DON'T need to take Policosanol. Policosanol is for people with a high total cholesterol, period, not for general CV cholesterol protection. if you use it, read up on it, just like anything else.

I haven't had any cramping and have been taking 20mg/day for 40 days now.

I had my cholesterol checked prior to starting and had LDL of 159 and HDL of 69. My doctor wanted me to start on Lipitor but I'm going to see how this works instead. Haven't been on any gear for around 6 months and the cholesterol values are normal for me so this will be a good case study.
