PMS and testosterone

My PMS has been out of control... lasting for as long as 2 weeks before I get my period. I have been on the pill before, but feel awful while I am on it and don't care for the water retention.
I am looking for suggestions from fellow female bodybuilders on how to resolve this problem. I am not taking any testosterone, but I was wondering if I used something like ZMA that may raise my levels a small amount, do you think that would help supress my PMS? I don't know if elevated testosterone has any affect on estrogen levels...
While we're on the topic, do any of you take the pill? What kind and does it affect you negatively in terms of your physique?
Any answers you may have would be of great help! Thank you!
 
Not sure about the testosterone...
I'm on Orthotricyclen-Lo, which is a lower hormone version...it didn't make me gain anything, probably making body fat/water harder to lose (although I'm losing fat at a good 2lb/wk pace so maybe not)...but whatever effects it has on my body/training are nothing compared to the effects that getting pregnant would, so I live with it.
