*PLEASE * Help a bro do CKD !!!! :) Interesting Questions here... Other Diets have stopped working.

First thing: I know there are quite a lot of questions in this post, but it would mean the world to me if you would help me down here. I'm pretty much frustrated trying to loose those last pounds, especially since I've ruined it in the last week due to excessive carb bindging. Which is making me VERY VERY FRUSTRATED ! Especially after I've worked REAL hard to get to my 10% BF. Now with all the Carb huge bindging I had lately and continue to have. I am worries I am going to loose everything. So I thought about CKD. HELP IS GOLD here. I appreciate your time.

Ok, I'm off cycle for quite a long time (Going to start the bulking cycle in a 2-3 months time).

I've dieted and reached about 10% Bodyfat.

I want to reach 8%. For my size that's about only loosing like 4-5 pounds of fat, that's all.

My diet got stalled at 10%. I've started to loose my mind and bindge heavily every 2-3 days (I mean BINGE big time) probably due to depression from low serotonin and cortisol levels.

I'm frustrated as I do want to reach my goal of 8% BF (Loosing about 4 to 5 pounds of fat tissues).

I and I was just reading the GREAT post from Kaks regarding the CKD diet.

I have several relevant questions which I couldn't find answers using the 'search' button:

1) Considering my Bindging history and love for crabs (chocolate's my favorite Will I be able to stand the CKD ? I REALLY want to loose those last 4 pounds of fat.

2) During my cutting cycle I've already used high amounts of ECA and Clen so they are off limits for me now (i'm immuned). Can I use Meridia instead along with a CKD to fight cravings and improve mood a bit ?

3) How long will it take me to get into Ketosis ? (I just had a huge carb bindge right now (Which BTW made me login to Elite from work). My current balanced diet no longer work If I am starting from today (From this minute on I'm NOT touching carbs). How much time will it take me to enter Ketosis ?

4) How do I know I'm in Ketosis ? We don't have those self-test urine tests in my country ?

5) How can you eat 6 Meals a day on a CKD? I mean because of the high fats, just a little portion of something gives huge amounts of calories. And since my body weight is fairly low, a high-fat/protein meal migh mean to me eating something rediciously small ?

6) How much time will it take me to LOOSE 4-5 pounds of FAT from the minute I start to follow the CKD regimen ?

7) I've heard ALA can make you enter into CKD faster. How can I incorporate it efficienctly.

8) Since almost EVERYTHING have hidden carbs, can't it just prevent from going into Ketosis ? I mean even natural Peanut Butter have some carbs and all the carbs during the day can add to 30-40 grams quite fast.

9) What about those Met-RX 31g. Peanut Butter bars that claim 9 grams of FAT, 31 grams of Protein and 4 grams of NET Carbs (while total amount of carbs are 30) ? Should I avoid all Protein Bars ? Remember my goal is to enter KETOSIS ASAP.

10) Since I want to just loose 4-5 pounds of FAT. Can I just run into KETOSIS and stay for 2 whole weeks and skip the FRI-SAT carb up?

11) Does working out 3 times a week, and doing cardio 40 minutes everyday considered excessive? I don't mind to loose some muscle as long as I know these 4 pounds will be gone to hell within 2 weeks.

I think it's all about your will power. If you can hold out during the week and stick to no-carbs, and only limit it to the weekends, you should be in good shape.

Not sure about supps, so I can't help much here. I'm taking some ECA now and it seems to be helping quite a bit. Maybe take a few weeks off ECA and then go back on?

3) How long will it take me to get into Ketosis ? (I just had a huge carb bindge right now (Which BTW made me login to Elite from work). My current balanced diet no longer work If I am starting from today (From this minute on I'm NOT touching carbs). How much time will it take me to enter Ketosis ?

It's different for everyone. Also, it depends on how much exercise you do and your carb intake. Usually, if the carb intake is low and you exercise (to deplete your glycogen stores), you should be in ketosis within a few days, I'd think. Again, it's different for everyone.

4) How do I know I'm in Ketosis ? We don't have those self-test urine tests in my country ?

Bad breath is a sign. Some people get irritable. As far as the strips ("Ketostix" I believe) you can probably order those online... right?

5) How can you eat 6 Meals a day on a CKD? I mean because of the high fats, just a little portion of something gives huge amounts of calories. And since my body weight is fairly low, a high-fat/protein meal migh mean to me eating something rediciously small ?

I used Mr. X's CKD spreadsheet to setup my daily requirements. Right now I'm getting ~5 meals a day and it seems to be working well.

Some people feel less hungry while in ketosis, so if you are going to be eating less you may not even notice because of the reduced hunger.

6) How much time will it take me to LOOSE 4-5 pounds of FAT from the minute I start to follow the CKD regimen ?

It's different for everyone. You might lose that much in water weight the first week. My guess is that it'd be a few weeks at least, depending on how strict you are.

7) I've heard ALA can make you enter into CKD faster. How can I incorporate it efficienctly.

I don't know anything about ALA, sorry.

8) Since almost EVERYTHING have hidden carbs, can't it just prevent from going into Ketosis ? I mean even natural Peanut Butter have some carbs and all the carbs during the day can add to 30-40 grams quite fast.

Stick to the sure-fire things like steaks, tuna+mayo, pepperoni, cheese (for the most part), etc... I'm trying to avoid protein bars and other sauces (bbq, ketchup, etc) that have carbs in it.

9) What about those Met-RX 31g. Peanut Butter bars that claim 9 grams of FAT, 31 grams of Protein and 4 grams of NET Carbs (while total amount of carbs are 30) ? Should I avoid all Protein Bars ? Remember my goal is to enter KETOSIS ASAP.

See my previous comment... some people can handle them, others it will kick out of ketosis. Personally, I'm playing it safe and avoiding them.

I don't see why not. Try it both ways... Try 2 weeks with a carb-up each week and then try another 2 weeks without a carb-up and see what works best for you. Given your self-proclaimed binging history, you might want to carb-up each week to ease the cravings.

Some CKD workouts recommend working out Mon, Tues and Friday. Right now I plan on sticking with my M/W/F (full-body) routine. I'd think the daily cardio would be excessive though, but I'm no expert.



This is just stuff I've picked up on through my readings. I'm certainly no expert, so take it all with a grain of salt.
