I concur :p

The article itself was a decent read too. The major take-home point is that overall nutrition is MUCH more important than a single meal, and I don't know how anyone can't agree with that.

"consuming a protein shake immediately after training hinders optimal results."
whats that all about...
my pre/post workout meals
preworkout- either shake with oatmeal and some dex. or a meal of chicken and rice.
post workout- 50grams whey and 75grams dex... hour later whey shake (50g) and some oatmeal/rice. hour later chicken and brown rice. 3 meals in 3-4 hours seems good for me :)

To me all that means is don't fret about getting your post-workout shake down IMMEDIATELY after lifting. You see some guys that finish their workout and won't even talk to anyone before they have their shake because they could be "missing out on the PWO window".

The general message of the article is to not stress over minute details. Everyone eats differently, and there's a lot of big guys out there. Seems there isn't ONE right way of doing things.

Btw, your meals look good sweed.

my roommate is so misguided.

He drinks protein mixed with whole milk in between sets. I have no idea where he'd get the idea that thats a good thing.

But his overall nutrition is excellent and he's naturally cut - about 7-8% bodyfat.
He weighs 145lbs  But he can hit 215x8 on flat bench - puts up 90lb db's on incline db press for a couple.
