The PS2 plays both PS1 and PS2 games...I don't think you can play PS2 games w/PS1.

I've got both and I tell you what, The Xbox is bad ass....X-cept for that damn controller that thing is too fucking big, Microsoft needs to address that and make some smaller ones!

you mark my words, x-box is good, but 2 years from now it will not be around! they simply do not have the game selection to compete with the already well established PS2. In my opinion the graphics and sound are pretty much equal to that of the PS2. people thought the Sega Dreamcast was the best thing since toilet paper 2 years ago, where is it now??

I have a ps2 and i've played an xbox quite a bit. The games, no doubt about it, are not even close between the two. PS2 has the best games above any other, which is what truly matters obviously. That is just at this point in time. As far as graphics, xbox is amazing. I have never seen such great graphics on a system or an arcade or anything period. Its mind blowing. Get Dead or Alive 3 and check out those graphics. That game is so beautifully done. Amazing

I agree about the controller,PS2 is better.

I like that the hard drive is built in though, That makes for some great gaming possibilities for developers and gamers.

I hope they dont charge a arm and a leg for it.

At least with the Ps2 you can play DVDs out of the box.But you got to use the game controller though.

The X-box you got to buy a remote to enable the DVD feature for $20 bucks.

The ps2 has a dvd remote for $20 bucks that gives you more playback features than the controller.So you really dont come out much ahead.
