Okay, I've got it downloaded and installed. I'll give this a whirl from work as well, but I suspect I won't be able to get past the firewall.

You should have a shortcut on your desktop, and when you open it, it'll prompt you for your EF e-mail addy.

Doesn't work behind my firewall at work though.

If MSN works, then it should. Might be a specfific port, blocked.

Yeah, they list the two required ports on the download site, and we don't have those open.

Interestingly enough, Yahoo and AIM will work behind the firewall, MSN won't.

First review - NOT GOOD.

I don't know what exactly is wrong... but since I installed this program my computer has slowed down dramatically... and it is making my connection unstable for staying online.

I don't know if this is being caused by hushmail messager or not, but that is the only change I've made to my system and the problems started as soon as I installed it.

I may have another program that is interfering with it. The hushmail messanger worked fine... but I definitely have system problems now. I'll try reloading it.

I'm having problems connecting now. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? I try to connect and it just won't connect. It always says "Offline".

Yes... I thought things were okay but I'm having troubles. Big one is it gives me frequent messages that EF is NOT RESPONDING.

i cant get it run, i installed it, couldnt find an icon on my desktop, and i had to install it just to get my java engine to work properly so i can access my EF email!!... i anybody else having this same prob?

Hushmail just added a patch to fix some of the bugs... unfortunately I can't get teh patch to load.

When I loaded ran it this afternoon, it auto updated with a patch.

But now I can't see Sofa, or add him. SG -> are you still on this messenger thing?

Comeon' fellas... we need more users on it. The program is very convenient. It's real small, it notifies you if you have any hushmail, and you can check it too. Very secure too... give it a go!

It seems to be working great. Before the patch I sometimes checked it and it was not connected, but I don't have any problems now. It is really good in my opinion. I'm really impressed.

Okay... I've got dibs on having the first hushmail sex chat with Ceebs and Raina.

Also, I deleted Hushmail messenger from my start up. When I manually start it - no problems. It only makes things buggy when it gets loaded in start up.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions we've received for the Hush Messenger client so far.

There is a new patch available today (May 21). The next time you run Hush Messenger it should automatically update itself.

Here is the list of changes for this latest patch:

Version: 1.0.0521

- Enhanced contacts systems for detecting deactivated/nonexistent accounts.
- Offer the option of notifying new contacts who have not yet used Hush Messenger by email.
- Window title now shows account name.
- Layout updated for add/remove contact windows.
- Login window layout fixed for systems without default fonts.
- Mixed case login name bug fixed.

We are currently working on several new features and will continue to add functionality over time. Next on the list are file transfers and a preferences screen for changing some common configuration options. We'll let you know when this becomes available,
