No way in hell they make $18 per hour.
If you want to be a driver, go down to the local Red Cross and apply for a position as Courier there. They normally make $16 per hour doing nothing but sitting around the facility watching tv waiting for a hospital to call and order blood.
If you land an on call position that requires you be on call after your 8 hour shift, you usually get $2 - $3 dollars for every hour you are on call after your shift, even if your phone never rings. That is 16 hours per day M-F, and 24 hours per day Sat and Sun.
