The first pic shows how much the snow accumulated in about 2 hours.

The second pic is just 1 of the neat icicles that I saw. There were some crazy ones.

The third pic is right after you get off the chair at the top of Ram's Head slope.

These are pics of the K1 Express Gondola but due to the fog you can't see the top of the mountain, which I think is almost 5,000 feet high.

I'm not sure what the ski slopes are in the distance, but this is the top of Killington Peak where the gondola goes. You are supposed to be able to see Canada, etc. Very nice.

Boss, you should go if you like to ski. But, at least you can see what it looks like!!

My husband is the same way.....he stays in the lodge while I ski......lol

I used to ski at Killington in Jr. High and High school (way back when, lol). I miss it now that Im on the midwest we dont have much of that.

I haven't been to Killington in a couple years. It was a mountain of ice last time I was there. Looks great now!

I've skied the Alps and out in Colorado and no, Killington can't compare, but I STILL LOVE THAT PLACE. Just love the brunch places, the bed-and-breakfasts, the down-to-earth VT people-- the whole thing.

I haven't been to Killington since I was about 12, but I remember that it's a nice place to ski if you're in the East. When my sister, brother, and I got to be good skiiers, Dad started taking us out west (Banff, Whistler) to ski. When I went with friends/cousins more recently, it was Whistler....can't be beat for skiing or the party atmosphere in the village (more like a city now).

I always heard the snow conditions at Killington were never good, lots of ice..looks like they are fixin' to have a good season.

Well, the old joke is that on the East Coast, all the ski areas are icy & that if you ski anywhere on the East Coast then you can ski on ice. The East Coast definitely doesn't have the knee-deep powder that Colorado does.

BUT, I am petrified to fly and my phobia will prevent me from experiencing the Alps or Colorado. I'm afraid of heights too (go figure that I ski) but I'm used to the lifts at Killington & can ride them by myself with no fear.

There was some ice when I was there but otherwise there was powder & yes, everyone is very friendly & receptive.
