I was watching this show on discovery and it was saying how so many people move there and leave within a year due to the rattlesnakes, spiders, scorpions that often cross their paths. Scorpions i can deal with but I would shit my pants if I saw a rattlesnake or tarantula in my back yard.

summers are unbearable, 110+ degree weather. No one is out onthe streets or parks or anywhere. Everyone is an airconditioned bubble from May 'til September.

Oct 'til about now is when it's awesome over there, California summer weather and temperatures. Too bad it's not like that year round.

I love the heat and rarely stay in doors unless I am working. I have been here 32 years and have only seen one snake in the wild, and 1 or 2 scorpians. People over react and are pussified by the cities. I live outside the city and love it.
