Photographers i need more help!

ok im looking to get my first real manual camera. I want either a nikon or a cannonc, preferrably a cannon. I want to spend under 400 bucks, what do you suggest and why? thanks

I can't help you too much, but remember that most camera
shops sell their cameras without any lenses. You just get the
camera body.

You should really try looking for a used camera. For $400
you should be able to find a nice rig, at least to learn with.
