Any one know anything about this stuff? A few of my girlfriends are on it and they are making incredible results.

Do you mean the diet drug called phentermine? The brand name for phentermine is Adipex.

Similar appetite suppressing effects can be obtained with an OTC supplement like Synephrine.

This is from an expert in the field:
Phentermine is the most commonly used prescription medicine to lose weight. There are several brand names but no one uses brand names anymore.
Except for Xenical, all prescription weight loss medicines work by supressing appetite.
OTC stuff is really not effective.
Phentermine is safer than any other weight loss medicine.
It does have mild addictiction/habit formation potential (Schedule IV. Schedule V is no addiction potential).

Phentermine is an anorexic agent. Mild stimulant too. It's a chemical relative of amphetamines. I'd say, for me at least, it's above ephedrine, but below ritalin. Good appetite suppression, good energy boost, mild diuretic effect, sometimes a bit of mood elevation too. I like to use it 2 weeks on/2 off alternating with ECY stack.

Pills like that make me feel cracked out.

Actually, I've always been partial to the orlistat goodness that makes you blow undigested fat out of your ass like a broken fire hydrant.

ok, actually, I lied, that doesnt' interest me at all. But, neither does Phentermine.

There's a whole host of legimate OTC compounds available nowadays. To deny that is to spotlight one's detachment from reality.

As far as eluding to the concept that sched 4 drugs have a "mild addictiction/habit formation potential". well, I'd just like to point out there's actually a sizable list of drugs in that realm that are far more addictive than some much higher scheduled items. Benzos come to mind.

From what I know, as well as anectdotal reports from friends, phen has more than a "mild" addiction potential and tolerance is built up to it pretty fast. Definitely not a long term solution.
