peanut butter while cutting?

ive been putting all natural pb on rice cakes for my first meal in the morning involving carbs. is this a bad idea while im cutting? should i cut the pb out of my diet? thnaks

Generally speaking, all processed foods are to be avoided. This is especially true while cutting.

I can't recall the actual reason behind not eating rice cakes, but I believe their GI is extremely high. And of course they are processed and loose a lot of nutrients.

IMO, when you are cutting this crap tastes like friggin heaven, and is easy to overeat... it's like candy .. if you can tolerate, not have 4, 6, 8 tbsp, instead of the 'regular servings (i.e. 2? based on your stats) , not overeat it, then the natty PB is a decent addition ...

It is no where near me or my house ... I have bad luck with this stuff ... I can eat it by the jar :) ...
 
I save my fats for the end of the day while I'm cutting.

2 tablespoons before bed for me :)

Agreed with Buns (course)... if you gorge yourself, don't buy it... lol, I couldn't... I think i'd die cuz the stuff gets stuck in my throat at times... so that prevents me from eating too much I guess.

tastes too good, you only have so many cals during the day. MAKE THE MOST OUT OF THEM. I'd rather eat a steak than 2 tbsp of ANPB... 100 grs = 600 cals? WTF!!!

It's a caloric budget question... as for rice crackers (high GI carb) and PB (FAT)... NONONONONONOO

I use it the same way b-4 bed with my protien shake....slows the digestion of the protien along with providing healthy fats.

But must keep in mind very calorie dence make sure you account for it in your total cal intake, also Make sure you measure it, you'll be suprised a TSP is not that much !!
 
All of the above...correct.
I like to eat it before bed for that fats. And will sometimes have it mid day if I miss or dont have time for a meal to get calories in. Put it in the fridge and eat it with some fat free or skim milk.....little bit of heaven.
 
ANPB is great while dieting, but rice cakes are one of the worst things you can eat while dieting. They are great for carb loads, but not for dieting.
