Paypal a good method?!

I ujse paypal for a lot of my ebay purchases, but there are a few things you need to remember:
they are, apparently, a rather shitty company.
www.paypalsucks.com is worth looking at. A lot of the folks on the alt.gothic.fashion newsgroup (where a lot of ebaying is discussed) have had problems with paypal.
They are also not a bank. They have a tendecy to freeze accounts suddenly I believe - don't keep large amounts in your paypal account. Mine comes outta my credit card, so it doesn't have to be pre-loaded up.
bidpay is good (I believe first bank of boston are behind them) BUT only good for paying for auctions. Western Union also have something like this going. Go to ebay and look at random auctions for the logos for all these companies. Also google for searches on paypal.
For buying small stuff, however, it's cool.

id say a decent company. even offered me my money back after i got ripped one day on ebay.

Some concerns about Paypal:
They have frozen accounts without warning or explanation. I'd suggest that you immediately transfer paypayl funds received into your bank account, rather than keeping them in paypal.
People receiving funds don't get all the funds; Paypal skims a commission fee. That sucks if you're an Ebay seller, since you've already paid Ebay's commission too, and now you gotta pay Paypal too.
They're not FDIC insured.
