Patriot Act: i need info

So my dad is this hardcore pro patriot act guy. He brought home some article to show me today from the new york times about it which I refused to read. it was , in a nutshell, explaining how everything the patriot act allows, that people complain about, could have always been allowed, just court orders were needed.

Anyway he was mumbling under his breath about how everyone's so quick to hand over this country, "yeah come take our country", he says. i told him the PA does jack shit to prevent terrorists from jacking us up if they wanted, but leaves the average joe open to unconcstitutional bullshit.

So basically i was wondeing if anyone out there knew of any sites detailing why the PA is a crock of shit so i can print it out and shove in his face.

How can you say it is bullshit when you won't even read an article that you claim is bullshit because of what it says?

If you want to have an informed opinion, then you need to read information from both sides. Not make idle speculation.

As far as am concerned, I do not have the slightest idea how the Patriot Act has intruded upon ones life. I have never been subjected to it, but then again I do nothing to harm this country either.
