Pain...help!!!!!!!

aky

New member
Well for about a year now ive been having sharp pains in my right quad (on the outside). This pain only comes when doing a squatting motion, even without weight.. It feels like a 19G needle stuck in my leg and flexing it.

I belive it started when doing a quad injection about a year ago... the injection went fine, until i pulled the needle out and blood squited out.... i didnt think anything of it at the time.....

I went to my doc, he said it was a pinched nerve?? Someone else told me it was scar tissue.... all that i know is that i cant do squats.... i can do 2-3 reps, maybe 2 sets with absolute pain!!!

My question is can someone help me... maybe tell me who can i see (a specialist), or what it might be. I read somewhere that injecting some AAS into that area might help..... i'll see if i can find that post...

sounds like you went through a vein if blood was squirting out. I would think it would of healed by now but maybe it didn't heal right?

I don't think the pain you are feeling is from a bad injection a year ago, but you should see a physical therapist. They are probably best equipped to treat muscular/sports related problems. They might suggest an MRI if they can't determine the source of the pain. I've passed through nerves before when injecting quads. It made my leg bounce around and flinch and cause a little more pain than normal for a couple of days.

Go see a certified Neuromuscular therapist, it's propably another trigger point story..have them work your quads good and it will most likely improve quite a bit, afer several sessions should be good as ne...I speak from experiance..also coulg be the TFL band but someone qualified can figure it out..no worries

likely you formed a hematoma (collection of blood) at the injection site that scarred down over time if it is still hurting you. An ultrasound wouldn't be a bad idea to see if there were a collection of fluid still there....any general MD could order it.....just tell them what happened.

Could it be a tear in the muscle? You are saying the pain is in the muscle not on the bone or anything?
