P.O box Question??

I am thinking about getting a post office box. Can I have a few names that mail can be deliverd to or can it just be me? Also what happens if the package is to big to fit in the po box, do they call your house or do they just leave a note? Any help is welcome. thanks
 
thanks bro, also do they need your home address and tele number? i don't really want them to have that.
 
in my country ass town they don't get too personal. if you have couple of old id's alter the addy and name. if they require phone # give them your ex girlfriends. simple as that. i have 3 locations i use all with a different alias and am very succesfull up to this point. it might help if you have a business name ass well
 
Anyone who will be receivng or picking up Mail at the PO Box in question, must provide ID at the time of registering for the box. Of course, they cant exactly see whos picking up the Mail whenever it is already in the box, so it is really pointless. IF you have the Box adressed in YOUR NAME & you try to be Mr. Sneakyass and use some fake name to receive, then you're going to fuck yourself.
 
bump, say if i give my real name and a made up girls name. they wouldn't require any body's id but me correct?
 
I would like to know about this as well... I am looking to get a PO BOX... how much do they cost? And do you have to be 18 or 21? Do you just goto the post office and ask for one?

One more time...legally, anyone who will be receiving mail at the addy will have to be present to show ID.

Hahaha no shit. I have been using a fake id for a year and half now. If something goes wrong with a package and I go in the place and I am confronted, I walk out the front door without jack shit.

Exactly. The fake ID works out in your favor IF you know already that there MIGHT be something out of the ordinary on your pax. If the Box ever comes under investigation, you can just say "hey, wasn't me". If you do get caught though, AND it comes out that it was in fact YOU that opened the box under a false pretenses-THAT IN ITSELF is a Federal crime(as zflexz said). You don't even have to get caught with anything illegal.

You need to be 18 legally. The prices cary greatly depending on the size of the box you get. I paid $30 last time I bought one. This was for 6 months. I got the smallest size box. If something is too big for the box they just left a note and I picked it up at the counter. Post 9/11 they WILL require two forms of ID.
If you are caught using a fake don't be surprised if you end up being held as an "enemy combatant" and put on trial at a military tribunal. Everybody's a suspected terrorist now.
 
if you are doing this so that the feds wont be able to track it to your house.....your nuts.

The Feds can find anyone....and time.....and use the post office as an agent.
 
get a box at your local mail boxes etc, or local mail place- they are more expensive then the post office, but those people will sign for anything for you, and they dont usually require or even if they do require it- they never really check ID's so you could use a fake there easily...

there have been more people busted at MBE than the post office bro.
 
When you setup a box they photo copy your id and provide a copy to the post office, thats the law. If you what one under a false name hire a whore and instead of sex have her open a box for you, might work if you can find a whore with two pieces of i.d.. just tell her you are new to the area and that you lost your i.d. and need a box so you can look for a job. If anything happens with the box it's not in your name and the whore really doesn't know who you are.
 
guess it depends on where you live. Where i am the people at my local mail boxes place (its not MBE its a prive place) didnt ask for any ID, and none of them really even speak english so it works out good for me. THe only bad thing is trying to talk to them to pay the rent when its due :)

cost of a po box at post office in new york is $24.00 for 6 months
and yes you need id, but they never asked me for phone #.
