Honestly with trees it depends a lot on the type of soil they're planted in, how long the tree has been there, and what type of tree it is. If the soil is weak then it's more likely to pull up. If it was planted there recently it's not going to have it's roots extablished yet so it's more likely to pull up, and if it's not a very strong type of wood but is pretty bushy so that the wind cathces a lot of the tree then it's more likley to break off. I'm really very suprised it didn't move any cars though.
