Not good! I stay on a very strict diet but on the weekends I cheat two meals. All out! The meal is not the big problem. The problem comes from the desserts. I love them! I can eat half a cake like it's my job! I seem to over do it almost everytime. 3 out of 10 I even puke. I'm like a f*cking crack head with it! Not good at all!! Any advice on how I can kick this bad habit. By the way....Anyone eating a good cheat meal tonight? I am...wow...great
 
Cut 1 piece of whatever dessert and then stay away from the rest or throw it out. Just like u keep the discipline over the week, keep it w/ the desserts. I've used VPX Dietex to help w/ appetite suppression if you need it (hoodia-based). Otherwise just start workign on getting that stuff out of your diet - every time I eat sugar anything I get a sugar buzz that makes me feel like I want to go die. Its not enjoyable.
 
Sassy's advice is generally good, but for people like me not the best. Most people use gum or the patch to quit a habit, I needed to go cold turkey. I had the exact same problem you mentioned and nothing worked until I realized that once I had started down that road I was just bargaining with the devil. :goatslaye In a few weeks I didn't even notice. Now, when a special occaision rolls around, I trust myself not to act foolishly.
 
What has helped me is if you're walking in the grocery store, make that decision to NOT pick up the sweets and stroll right by it. by not seeing it around the house will make you less likely to think about it. I don't know if that'll work for you, but I used to have a big sweet tooth, and somehow (I really have no idea for sure lol) got over it and eat clean
 
I need to just keep my head out of my ass and tell myself how bad they make me feel. Maybe a shock collar or something like that.

How do youe eat cake w/ your head up your ass - that sounds like it would be enough to make me stop eating the cake - I'm not sure I could fit my hand w/ a fork in there to get to my face - that is a lot of stuff in one ass FF.
 
Are you eating the desserts at home or out at a restaurant??

Could you begin eating them out instead?? Cuz if you're paying some $$$ to eat a high-quality dessert - you're paying about $8-9 per & puking it up is SUCH a waste of money.....

That's great! I eat that crap at the house. I'm only going to eat desserts when out from now on.

Agreed. Some restaurants will give you half portions if you ask. They'll probably be charging you the same, but if it helps your diet it's worth it. I like to save desserts for restaurants anyways. The relaxing atmosphere and conversation with whoever you are with seem to take over and the appetite for devouring whatever is in your way just isn't there.

How's your diet for the rest of the day? I know after 5 meals of bland tasting foods with a high enough calorie content, I usually have no cravings for much of anything come the end of the day.
 
About 2200-2400 cal. per day
300 protein
80 carb.
etc......

I'm starving myself! I'm used to high calories and higher carbs. but I'm trying to get lean before I start up again with a bulk cycle. I hope to be ready in 45-60 days.

Yep!! If it ain't in the house, you won't eat it........Plus most restaurant's desserts are WAYYYY better than the crap from the store anyway....better mouthfeel....tastes better....higher quality ingredients, etc.....

Plus - out you've got a different ambiance, candlelight....have a Cognac or expresso & enjoy!!
 
Its a decision -- I mean it depends on how you deal w/ things. For ex, if I have ANYTHING that is remotely satisfying to eat in the house, I eat all of it. (And I can consume quantities of stuff that scare me....) I've thrown 3 jars of ANPB out my backdoor and into the wash behind my house in the last year. I cannot have that shit in my house - I'll sit there w/ a handful of Splenda packets & a spoon and kill the whole thing & then be backed up for 3 days.

But then on my current diet, I had a period of time where 2x / day my protein shake was 2 scoops + 1 tbsp ANPB -- I actually just added a little water & made a pudding out of it. Never once even thought about extra ANPB so that was no problem. But I also realized I'm 12 weeks out from a very high visibility competition and I dont' have time to fuck around anymore. How important is it to you? If you are in competition mode - you either do it or you don't. There's no room to f* around. If your goal is not competition but to get to a certain point, depends on how fast you want to get there. And the final thing I've discovered is that once I set up a consistent, clean diet for about 3 weeks - everythign just starts burning off like clockwork. If I throw some shit in there its like throwing mud in the tank of a high performance vehicle. It just ain't gonna run so good anymore. And then you have to clean the shit out and start over.

But at the end of the day you have to make the decision. I have to do all or nothing. Most people give me this look like OMG I CAN"T GIVE UP MY *whatever*! So you have to suggest some viable alternative. But that's how my mind works.

Subsequently, I have no social life to speak of either. But that's another story.
