I know this is off topic but i figure to get a quicker response here. Has anyone ever had a mole removed? how much does it cost, how bad does it hurt, and how big does it have to be before it can be removed?

and no i couldnt find anything in the search function about this ;)

I have had 2 suspicious moles removed. Neither turned out to be anything. It doesn't hurt much at all. Getting my nipples pierced hurt more.

It cost me nothing because i have health insurance.

If you have a mole that you want removed for cosmetic reasons, just tell your doctor that it is itching all the time and driving you crazy. Then insurance will cover it :)

I've had a couple removed. No big deal. They dont have to be large...they could be colored funny or have an irregular border. Either way its better to be safe then sorry. No it doesnt hurt, just get a needle and a little burn. No cost to me either b/c of insurance. Try and find a good DR to do it, I had two different DR.'s and some how the first DR. did it, there isnt any scar there now....Anyways...goodluck with geting it removed

I had one removed from under my pec and one on my back. Wasnt too big, just some local (novacane) and a scalple in the docs office and he just cut me right there as I watched. Stitched me up and sent me on my way. Had to be carefull for a while not to stretch and pop the stiches. After the stitches came out, I was doing some leg presses and the incision on my back poped open. Now instead of a line for a scar there is a circle, like a bullet hole.....oh well, it goes good with all my other scars. Mine was covered by insurance as well.

Just like the others, no big deal. A shot of novacaine, then a small scalpel. Took a total of 30 sec. Even for cosmetic reasons, my Dr. had insurance cover it.
